About

Welcome Message

The OCASI Professional Development Conference provides an opportunity for staff from immigrant and refugee-serving agencies across Ontario to come together, network, share information about new initiatives, and exchange a wealth of expertise with each other in a relaxed and inspiring setting. Our sector is dynamic and always changing. This conference facilitates training and learning, equipping leadership and staff with the most current information and tools to deliver innovative, effective programs.

OCASI well knows that it is the hard work and enthusiasm of those working on the frontlines that is the foundation of the success of our sector. Together, let us all look forward to learning from each other and strengthening our mutual connections.

Sincerely,

Debbie Douglas
Executive Director

Accessibility in Official Languages

Within the framework of official languages legislation and commitments, OCASI is proactively working to improve access in both English and French to its Professional Development Conference. This year, Conference attendees will be able to participate in either one of the two official languages in Canada during activities to be held in Nottawasaga Inn Resort. Simultaneous interpretation equipment and services will be provided to this effect.

Conference participants are kindly reminded to pick up a headset in order to be able to follow comments made by attendees in either official language. A number of workshops will be offered in French, and the program of the Professional Development Conference will be available in both languages.
